BARDEM WINS RECOGNITION FOR ANOTHER ACTING AWARD
Madrid, Spain,_Spanish actor Javier Bardem was nominated for a Bafta award as Best Actor for his assassin role in the film No Country Music for Old Men by the British Academy of Film. His role as Anton Chigurh won him a Golden Globe Award earlier.
He is in great company. Other nominees are Tommy Lee Jonnes, Paul Dano, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Tom Wilkinson. Last week’s Golden Globe Award was dimmed by the screen writers strike and instead of a national television extravaganza it was a weekend extra show. He shared the award with Josh Brolin, Tommy Lee Jones and Kelly McDonald.
