“ YES ITS OVER” ON TUESDAY –“LIFT EV’RY VOICE AND SING” TO BE SUNG ACROSS THE LAND
San Antonio, Texas,_Unless Hillary and Bill Clinton can muster a strong Latino turnout on Tuesday, the Obamanation will rise to the occasion again in the Lone Star State as the new frontrunner gains more separation from his rival senator. If Senator Barack Obama really can get the “youth” vote to the polls he will administer the coup de grace in what has been a very competitive and spirited race with Senator Hillary Clinton.
Hillary and Bill Clinton have made quite a mark and were on the verge of another this year. They are a great political presence who should not soon fadeaway. If he is to beat Senator John McCain, Obama will need her, Bill and every other asset he can find. It is unlikely he will pick her for VP, just as it would be if Hillary won the nomination. Neither can really afford the other’s “first” in the general.
As we are poised on this historical moment in history, African Americans especially are renewed with hope and inspiration that Dr. King’s Dream is nearer to “its’ time.” If the first African American candidate in history is nominated as a major party’s standard bearer it will indeed be a powerful moment in U.S. History. Next Sunday or sooner expect a new meaning of the what has become the Black National Anthem which ends with “Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us. Facing the rising sun of our new day begun. Let us march on til victory is won.”
Til victory is won….We may be one day away!
Sing a song full
Facing the rising sun of our new day begun,
Let us march on till victory is won.
