Prayers for Emilio Navaira after violent Sunday morning crash
Houston, Texas, Family members, music lovers and fans on both sides of the border are praying for Emilio Navaira, Grammy winning 45 year old Tejano singer from San Antonio. He remains in a battle for life in Houston’s Memorial Hermann Hospital’s ICU after suffering extensive injuries following his tour bus crash into a highway barrier that caused him to go thru the windshield. The accident apparently followed a concert he and his band, Rio, had played that night in Houston. Several others in the bus were also injured and taken to local hospitals.
The hospital is ringed with media representatives awaiting updates of his condition. Emilio won a 2003 Grammy with his album “Acuerdate” for top Tejano album. Prayers and best wishes for Emilio and his family for his survival and recovery.
His music is king among many in the Tejano Music World. I’ve seen, met Emilio, and his band. They are truly an inspiration on stage. Hope it turns out for him. My prayers for Emilio, his family, and his band.
