Christian de la Fuente hanging in amidst stiff competition
Hollywood, Ca.,_ As the competition shifted into high gear this week Christian De La Fuente and Cheryl Burke got down with a hot fox trot. As he spoke before being given his best scores of the competition Christian declared, “From now on I will be known as Federico Astaire or Christian de la Fox Trot. The judges praised him for being at “his dashing best,” and for beautifully “crossing the line between rigid and refined.” The entire field performed exceptionally well with the exception of the two actresses, Marlee and Shannon, one of whom should be sent home tonight. Kristi Yamaguchi, Mario, Marissa, Jason Taylor, (who was better than his three eight scores), and Christian were the tops performers with Shannon Elizabeth and Marley Matlin in the rear. By all rights Marley or Shannon should get the boot tonight – though like everyone they have had some spectacular moments on the dance floor, especially Marley who is a great competitor and marvelous dancer.
