McCain’s party again insults Latinos and Legacy of Cesar Chavez

Washington, DC.,_ It seems the more Republicans learn about Latinos, immigrants and American history the more they react against newcomers. McCain’s fellow Republicans can’t find enough sensitive Latino issues to spurn and attack.

Most recently, as if immigrant bashing and raids of the country’s most productive residents is not enough, they once again resorted to Latino hero bashing by blocking a congressional tribute honoring Cesar Chavez, heir to Dr. King’s non violent leadership, and the most well known and highly regarded Latino of all time.

With moves like these Barack Obama will not have to do too much to out perform McCain with rank and file Latino voters.

It was a simple resolution by Latino and Black congressional caucuses, and other members, to honor Chavez’ 81st birthday, March 31.

Republicans blocked the honor with parliamentary procedures without even giving a reason for dishonoring the great Latino leader.

While McCain has been supportive of Chavez in the past only his call to honor Chavez with a national holiday will stand to get him Latino votes in the fall.

Cesar may be gone but his presence is sure alive!
