Cruyff thinks Barca can beat Man U.

As LosEstadosLatinos.com previously reported former Barcelona manager and current consultant Johan Cruyff still thinks Barcelona can beat English Premier League side Manchester United.

‘Barcelona will have to do things well. If there aren’t any stupidities, the tie is there to be won,’ said Cruyff, who achieved legendary status after hugely successful spells as a player and a coach at the Nou Camp.

‘If Barcelona play like they know how, they have a chance of getting to Moscow (for the Champions League final next month).

‘Even though they are stumbling in the league and have literally thrown away the title, my thoughts don’t change. Europe is another story, another competition. There is a different mentality and I believe it will be an even tie.’

Barcelona should play better in their Champions League tie against Man U since all of their focus should be on winning in Moscow. The La Liga title is now mostly out of reach and this is the squads last chance at some hardware.

Getting a win may be a little more difficult with the return of Man U. goalie Edwin Van Der Sar. Van Der Sar missed last weeks match against Blackburn with a groin strain. Wayne Rooney also should be in the line up after suffering a Hip injury in that match. Owen Hargreaves, Anderson, Gary Neville and Darren Fletcher also should be available.

Carles Puyol misses the first leg through suspension. There are four Barcelona players one booking away from missing the second leg. They are Gaby Milito, Rafa Märquez, Touré Yaya and Messi. On the United side, Patrice Evra and Nani are one card away from suspension. The Red Devils have received the least cards of any team in the competition with just ten.

Ronaldinho will also be out of the match but Deco will be in the starting line up for the first time in a long time.
