Dick Morris calls Hillary “out” at the plate

New York, NY, Dick Morris knows the Clinton’s and respects their tenacity. In a piece after this week’s Pennsylvania primary which Hillary won by 10%, he and Ellen McGann concluded that it’s all for naught.

Morris, who was formerly an advisor to Bill Clinton says her run for the finish line amounts to “too little too late”.

He makes the point that Hillary is largely losing because of her inability to sway independent voters, needed to win the fall contest and younger voters who are strongly for Obama.

The conclusion is that along the way Obama will hold his delegate lead and Clinton can win all she wants but will still fall to the Superdelegates who will not risk alienating their party’s base by taking the nomination from the candidate with the most delegates, most votes and most states won. Assuming Morris and McGann are right that means Obama had better soon learn more about Latinos than translating Cesar Chavez’ saying to “Yes we can”.
