North Carolina is Obama’s to lose – Indiana a must win for Clinton
Raleigh, NC.,_ While this week’s polling results show the race tightening in North Carolina Obama’s battle weary ground troops and the large black voting base should be enough to pull out a victory for the leading Democrat. His Wright situation still has the white electorate unstable towards him especially in Indiana where Clinton should continue to hold onto the prayers that are keeping her in the race and always within striking distance. Her small North Carolina ace in the hole are the many Latinos in and around Raleigh and Charlottesville.
Unless Clinton finishes both states in remarkable fashion the end of next week should bring a bigger move of Superdelegates towards Obama. While applauding Hillary’s staying power Dem party leaders are very fearful, since much of their lives are lived in fear, with reason this time, that the party is seeing their fortunes reversed due to the protracted nominating process. Their real fear is also what a wounded candidacy can or cannot do to help down ticket races, especially congress where they want to maintain their hold. If the shoe was on the other foot these same timid party leaders would be all over Obama to get out of the race.
