OBAMA TO PRESENT HIS PATRIOTISM
Washington, DC.,_ Barack Obama is pushing to win the nomination soon. At the same time he is also positioning himself to go head on with John McCain in the fall.
As part of his preparation Obama is looking at perceived liabilities and how he will address them starting now.
Anytime you run during war time there is a fine line between bringing the troops home and supporting them. Obama has done a great job upfront talking about how he wants to bring the country together and how he will take a common sense approach to ratcheting down the war, bringing the troops back and stopping the financial bleeding the mishandled war has cost the nation. In his case he also has several campaign slips and his pastor’s positions that have given the Republicans fodder for challenging his brand of patriotism. The next few months will tell the tale of whether he can convince his party and independent voters that his brand is the same one that brings Americans together when it counts. Latino voters as much as anyone are looking for the next president to bring the country together and set a standard and tone for a stronger patriotism.
