Miguel Bose on simultaneous Fundacion ALAS’ “Conciertos por los ninos”

Buenos Aires, Argentina, _ Spanish singer Miguel Bose this week announced that Alejandro Sanz, Shakira and Paulina Rubio would be in concert on May 17 in Buenos Aires while he, Juanes, Maria, Ricky Martin, Aleks Syntek, Los Tigres del Norte and others will be in Mexic City doing simultaneous concerts with Fundacion Alas to benefit the children of Latin America. The free concerts in both countries are not for fundraising but rather to publicize the work and mission of ALAS (America Latina en Accion y Solidaria) and their projects for the children. Other artists confirmed to perform in ALAS megashows include
Babasonicos, Calle 13, Chayanne, David Bisbal, Diego Torres, Fito Páez, Gustavo Cerati, Jorge Drexler, Juan Luis Guerra, Ricardo Montaner y Timbiriche.

In his announcement Bose mentioned the involvement of Colombian Nobel laureate Gabriel Garcia Marquez who serves as president of ALAS.

Latin America has 54 million children under five years old and 60% of them live in poverty. Bose added that “the whole world knows the importance of our cause. This foundation was founded by a few, will add many but we have to remember this is a project for all, the responsibility of all. They are our countries, our culture and our children.”
