Fall campaign between McCain and Obama promises to be a war
Washington, DC.,_ Latinos are poised to be key national decision makers for the first time, but not the last, in United States history.
Los Estados Latinos remain the emerging story and fast becoming a force to be reckoned with in this race and both camps are in tune with this new reality. Oddly enough McCain may have the advantage at this point when it comes to working with and wooing support from Latinos. He did win 70% of the Latino vote in his home state of Arizona in his last re-election win. Even hard core Latino Dems have nice things to say about his Latino record and relationships. The truth is no matter what his relationship and record his party has demonstrated a dislike, disdain, hatred and an outrageously strong anti-Latino biased that won’t go away any time soon and probably not until most of their grandchildren marry Latinos and become bilingual.
LEL believes both sides will wage the deepest and best funded ground campaigns the country has ever seen as the national election will come down to block by block combat in neighborhoods all across the country. It will be an all out 50 state plus campaign like never before seen in our country. Latinos have an opportunity to demonstrate the strength and pride that we have given our country in every aspect of life except in voter turnout until now.
