Horford, Scola named to NBA All Rookie squad
Although niether were able to beat out Seattle’s Kevin Durant for the NBA rookie of the year award, both Luis Scola and Al Horford were able to join him. The NBA announced the selections for this seasons NBA All-Rookie team, joining Scola, Horford and Durant were Al Thorton of the LA Clippers and Durant’s teammate Jeff Green.
Latinos were able to score a spot on the second team as well, with Memphis’ point guard Juan Carlos Navarro being elected along side Toronto Raptors’ Jamario Moon, Detroit Pistons’ Rodney Stuckey, Scola’s Houston Rockets teammate Carl Landry and Thaddeus Young of the Philadelphia 76ers.
Congratulations to all the players who helped their respective teams all season long, some more than others.
