Barack Obama ready for round II on way to White House

Washington, DC.,_ Barack Obama first wowed the nation with his eloquence and upbeat message for change then he pulled off an unforeseen campaign strategy that was perfectly executed in besting Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, Bill Richardson and others. Very few predicted Obama would pull off the win even when he did so well in Iowa in early January. That was the first of many caucus tests for the Obama grassroots team that has been the best prepared field operation ever in a presidential contest.

They employed methods made popular by Cesar Chavez in many California and national elections. Their primary goals met they will now turn to seeing how well they can fare on the national grand, high turnout scale. That will be no easy task this year and it has either been made harder or easier, depending on your point of view, because of the Clinton campaign tactics that sparked an early fury and debate on racial politics.

Obama really does seem to have what it takes to go all the way. Just getting to the November dance is proof perfect of that fact. LEL believes his campaign will turn outward to prepare itself for the grand scale general election instead of being small minded and basing everything on the strategies that won the nomination. This man understands organizing and his team has been shaped with that in mind. The strategy, they people and the resources they invest in Latino and other communities will tell the final story on this one. LEL, like many others now, though having supported him all along made the mistake a year ago of believing Clinton would win the presidency. History is still on the verge of being made in 2008 and for the first time ever Latinos do and will have a major say on the decision.
