Ted Kennedy – Family torch bearer hospitalized
Boston, Ma.,_ Kennedy family patriarch Senator Ted Kennedy was rushed to the hospital on Saturday after suffering a stroke or seizure. Hyannis officials responded to a 911 call from the Kennedy compound took him to the local hospital and then had him airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital. The 76 year old “Uncle Teddy” is the last of the beloved Kennedy brothers. He has been in the senate since 1962 and his current term is up in 2013. In the last year the senator has gone thru surgery to fix artery blockages.
He, like all Kennedys, is a great friend of the Latino community. They were/are the first (and most) politicians to understand, value and take Latinos seriously. He and his brother Bobby along with many other Kennedy’s have and still enjoy a special relationship with the Cesar Chavez family. In past elections political operatives have come to understand that the word “Kennedy” has essentially become a Spanish word. Wishing him a quick and lasting recovery. Viva los Kennedys!
