What’s it all about Hillary?
Louisville, Ky.,_ Obama now leads by nearly 200 delegates and is 121 away from winning the nomination outright, So how in the world does Hillary Clinton keep pushing and keep keepin on?
Barack Obama and John McCain are now squaring off for the main event and yet she is gearing up for a big win in Kentucky? Its hard to understand and though many give her credit for her late game “two minute drill” the fact of the matter is her team squandered what was a 20 point national lead a year ago and will be in the bleachers watching in November and in January when Obama or McCain take the oath of the presidential office.
She has indeed run a commendable race for the nomination but at some point the scoreboard needs to matter to her and her team. She has seriously improved and found her real political voice but it’s the other guy who is going to the dance this fall. No one can fault her grit and perseverance but many are faulting her refusal to read beyond the tea leaves, put her party ahead of herself and not be party to internally caused bleeding and strife. This is not the swan song for Hillary Clinton but like many people in various political and social causes in this country and around the world she needs to learn the lessons and apply them in the seasons which lie ahead. There is likely no VP spot but her energy, fire and passion could light up a lot of people to turnout in November for her party and for the first time in decades she can be party to an increasing rather than lowered turnout of Americans to the polls and mail boxes.
