Kennedy Patriarch diagnosed with brain cancer

Boston, Ma.,_ Today doctor’s discovered that the cause of Senator Ted Kennedy’s recent seizure was a malignant brain tumor. The beloved “Uncle Teddy” is one of America’s best known and renowned politicians from the country’s leading political family.

Reports also noted that the Kennedy clan leader had suffered a second seizure en route to the hospital over the weekend. Perhaps former Senator Bob Kerrey, D-Neb. best summed up the feeling across the nation when he said, “I am really sad. He’s the one politician who brings tears to my eyes when he speaks.”

The 76 year old “lifetime” Massachusetts’s senator has been active this year and gave Barack Obama a great lift with his endorsement early in the primary season. Kennedy, whose family enjoys the best relationship with Latinos this side of their close allies, the Cesar Chavez family, enthused thousands of Latinos on the trail this year and hyped it up with his wonderfully off tuned acapella singing of “Jalisco.” The song that he learned as a young man on many trips to Mexico has words appropriate to him and his family and a play on words is called for in his case… “Ted Kennedy no te rajes,” gives tribute to him and his family’s legacy of battling for important causes of people of color and others who always face economic and racial hardships. The battle tested senator is resting comfortably, is up and about and should be released in the next few days awaiting further treatment decisions. Still a Latino favorite Kennedy has been surrounded by family members from the close knit clan that the nation has revered and watched closely as our only royal political family. Ted is the last of four Kennedy brothers who were all famed and died serving their country; Joseph as a WWII pilot in a plane crash, President JFK assassinated in 1963 and Bobby who was assassinated in 1968 just after winning the California primary election. LEL joins the Kennedy family and the nation in praying for his recovery and continued good life.
