Obama campaign making late moves for Latino support

Washington, DC.,_ For a campaign that has been “Latino light” on support and relationships the Barack Obama campaign has been fairly slow to pull the trigger on Latino outreach.

Yes, they have Bill Richardson but he is not enough and yes, they have Luis Gutierrez and other elected officials but they are not enough. Their latest move is a good one, to woo the jilted Patti Solis Doyle, former Clinton campaign manager, into the Obama camp but still slow as the clock to Denver and November is ticking.

LEL is certain he will be able to pull the party faithful together thru and beyond the convention but the big question is can they go deep enough and far enough fast enough with a very competitive McCain seemingly ahead of him at least when it comes to making moves and anticipating moods and timing. Obama has to know Latinos are one of his keys to winning. He may not want to go as far as superdelegate Steven Ybarra has suggested but quick steps in that direction will do him a lot of good. Ya es tiempo Obama, muevete los huesos en la direccion de los Latinos!
