Hillary’s run to the finish line has purpose
… “miles to go before we rest”
Louisville, Ky.,_ As she strained to show her thrill of a better than 2:1 victory over Barack Obama Hillary Clinton reminded the audience and the nation that she does not know how to quit or give up – and this we believe is at the core of her being and her quest to shatter the glass ceiling for women. She is the natural leader of the on-going and continuing drive by women for political, economic and social equality today. Women, especially those from the great generation and her own fellow baby boomers, know that her promise was for them and generations to come. It’s a simple and yet very important quest that gets lost in personalities, petty politics and by the fact her last name is Clinton. Women have fought for the right to Democratic party for decades, have shown leadership and judgement usually far superior than men but still have “miles to go before they rest.”
Hillary will have to step off center stage soon but she will not go quietly and not go before she makes her mark and her points. If Barack Obama and his team are as good in diplomacy as they have been at besting the field for the nomination they will find ways to honor Clinton and her husband who would be their top assets for the fall campaign. Hillary has become the top choice of the emerging and difference making Latino vote and they will respond well to her.
