SEIU hearing gets surprise guests for Roselli

Los Angeles, Ca.,_ The internal battle for west coast control of SEIU that has national ramifications for President Andrew Stern and resigned E Board VP Sal Roselli who heads SEIU UHW produced two surprise visitors set to testify on Roselli’s side.

Ken Seaton Msemaji and Fahari Jeffers formerly of AFCSME’s United Domestic Workers are both in poor health. Some say both their health conditions in part stem from their failed effort to merge their local with SEIU and Stern who had reportedly sent his home care ally Tyrone Freeman to sell the merger to Seaton just after Jeffers had suffered a life threatening illness.

During that time Seaton reportedly sent an insulting letter allegedly written by Stern or his camp to AFSCME President McEntee insulting him and causing a takeover of part of the UDW and a break up of the other half. Then after promising to take them both into SEIU, Stern and Freeman unceremoniously showed them the door. So it was surprising on one hand to learn of the pair attending the SEIU hearing. Attendees say the Stern side greeted them with open arms until realizing they had come to testify on behalf of Sal Roselli’s camp. Thousands of mostly Latina workers are paying attention to the ramifications and charges being exchanged in this battle.
