Senator Clinton top choice in Kentucky – Obama second choice
Louisville, Ky.,_ On CNN and other shows pundits are speaking of Obama’s “support base gap” as if Democrats are leaving the party in droves. Yes, Hillary Clinton, a great senator and former first lady, wife of President Bill Clinton is running like the wind and campaigning as if nobody’s watching.
Paul Begala says she got over 17 million Americans to vote for her as she has made history. She has always been a trend setter and knows the nomination process as well as anyone.
That’s why LEL sees the future as a party coming back home for the fall and sure to decide not to cut off its nose to spite its face. When you look at what took place over the last year and a half you see the longest, earliest, best funded and highest Democratic Party primary turnout and participation perhaps ever seen in this country.
That means you have had spirited competition and an energized electorate that has invited hundreds of thousands of new participants. For 95% of those who voted for Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama was their second choice and will climb to first choice in November. Only the few freaks who followed Lou Dobbs operation chaos will call out their “changing parties” loudly while any real Democrats who change due to race will do so quietly because to stand up and be counted as a racist in 2008 is a position reserved for serious fools.
Look for Democrats to all come home and have a helluva a party in Denver because the country’s future, the will to win and the most exciting candidacy since JFK and RFK are great motivators. It all matters to Latinos whose candidate, Hillary Clinton, made a powerful showing and paved the way (as have all pioneers in history) for herself or someone else to become the first woman “commandher” in chief.
