Amazing 70 yard MLS goal
An amazing 70 yard goal happened in the MLS match between the LA Galaxy and Kansas City. I bet you can guess who scored it. This just goes to show how still scary good David Beckham is with that right foot of his.
A little background on the goal, KC was down by one near the end of the match. Being in a desperate situation the team called for the goalie to make his way to the opposite end to give them one more player who could possibly score the tying goal off of a corner kick. After the ball bounced around off of a couple heads it landed at Becks feet. As he took off up field he had one teammate ahead of him and KC had three defenders getting back. However the keeper was still behind the play and Beckham let rip from 70 yards out into the empty net. Now if anyone out there thinks this is easy since there was no one back to stop the ball, needs to go out and see if you could do it. I for one know that I couldn’t, well maybe if I took enough shots I might be able to. All of that is besides the point though, he hit it so perfect that it appears to hit the penalty spot before settling almost dead center in the net. Well done!
