Clinton Hispanic Council co-chair jumps to Obama
Washington, DC, _ Congressman Dennis Cardoza, D-California, became the most recent notable leader to defect from Hillary Clinton’s campaign to join forces with Barack Obama.
Cardoza had served as co-chair of Clinton’s National Hispanic Council since last December. In his statement Cardoza said, “I believe Senator Obama will inevitably be our party’s nominee for president.”
At the same time another long time central valley congressman and Superdelegate, Jim Costa, also announced he was getting off the fence and endorsing Obama. The two had been courted by Obama and his team for weeks and represent a trend that is not favoring Hillary Clinton. Two weeks ago Obama went to the Blue Dog Caucus (moderate to conservative congressional Dems) to which Cardoza and Costa belongs and made a direct pitch to their group.
The end of the line for Clinton has already passed but like the recession were told is not happening, no one will tell Hillary the time.
