Fidel Castro makes TV appearance
Havana, Cuba,_ This week marked the first appearance in five months of famed, frail and former Cuban leader Fidel Castro. The video broadcast shown on Cuban television had Castro speaking with his brother Raul and is Latin American heir apparent Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez who said, “we conversed nearly three hours, we were revising the entire plan for energy exchanges and the strengthening of refinery capacity and production of petroleum and petrochemicals.” As has become his “uniform of the day” the nationally broadcast clip had him wearing his red, white and blue track suit (Cuba and US flag colors are the same).
